Basic Module Setup

This page discusses how the some modules should be set up including dip switch positions. The LOGGER processor module needs no special physical setup. I/O modules have dip switches that must be set correctly.

Processor Module

The processor module is set up over WiFi. See LOGGER Setup.

Dip Switches

The dip switches on the I/O and AC detector modules must be properly configured for the LOGGER to operate and for it to be reloaded when those modules are connected.

On the AC Detector module Switch 1 must be down (off position). Switch 2 should also be down to select I2C address 0x77. If switch 2 is up address 0x76 is selected. Address 0x76 is also used by the pressure/temperature/humidity sensor. (Two edge detectors are allowed if no pressure/temperature/humidity sensor is connected.)

On the I/O Expander module switch 1 must be down. Switch 2 should also be down to select I2C address 0x75. An I/O expander at address 0x75 supports pulse counting on the first 8 I/O pins and simple I/O on the other 8 pins. If switch 2 is up I2C address 0x74 is selected which provides 16 channels of simple I/O pins. Two I/O Expander modules are allowed for a total of 32 I/O pins.
