Monty
The purchase of Michael Newman's next hunt horse to ride
in the Norfolk Hunt was
completed on May 14, 2026.
Monty was located in Aberdeen North Carolina and hunted there for a couple of
years. He is a Friesian Percheran cross and stands about 16.1 hands
high. He is expected to arrive at Wildstar Farm on May 20th.
Monty's ad said:
Price Reduced. Owner going through a divorce and
needs to sell. Montague "Monty: - (for L or S) Friesian/Percheron
Cross 13yo, 16.1. He's most suited for trail riding & hunting.
He's hunted 2 seasons w Moore county hounds. He can hilltop, go in
2nd or behind in 1st. Easy keeper, does have a slight crib but
manageable. He currently lives out 24'7 but he is just as good in
the stall. Minimal maintenance. The sweetest puppy dog personality
and loves his people. Offered due to no fault of his own.
