The horse is unconscious and moved to an operating "table".




Some bone chips got removed. Lab results from samples.




The hoof is dug into to inspect the injury and remove any bone fragments. Fortunately there is no damage to the tendon sheath.




At the end of the operation she is removed to a padded room where she will wake up and be safe from falling as is still unstable.




The little black dot is the actual nail hole.

In this July 9th view Luna still has a swollen leg. Here the shoe has been removed and again the Veterinarian is looking for a possible bone fragment or other injury.
