Story PoolSeptic created by Michael Newman |
The pool septic system at 16 Nason Hill Lane was upgraded from a cesspool to a pump basin in 2018. The basin pumps up hill to join the existing septic field for the house. In the spring of 2018 a small dripping leak (a few drops per minute) was observed from the drain pipe under the pool house into this tank. The leak is an infiltration of clean groundwater. We would like to stop this leak so less water enters the leach field.
This Pool Septic Plan has been constructed. It also shows the approximate run of the 4 inch septic pipe from the toilet, shower and sinks. The run is about 45 feet long.

This shows the pool house. The toilet and shower are underground approximately where the white chair is. The building is just the staircase the area underground is much larger.
Here we look back from the pump basin to the pool house behind the trees.
This is inside the pump basin. The 4 inch white pipe is where the drain from the pool house enters the tank. It has A T at the end of the pipe. This is where the slow drip was observed in the spring. The blue pipes pump up to the septic field. About 6 inches of clean water is at the bottom of the tank left over from spring.
Shows the manhole leading into the pump basin.
Looking down at the manhole from the height of the pool deck. It is about 8 feet below the deck.
