Original Movie: DSCN4409.mov
Quicktime PRO takes a movie and prepares it for the web. Using "export for web..." It creates a small reference movie which determines the plaform and then displays a bigger file (MPEG 4 for the desktop) file for that platform. I did all this and copied the results to the directory on the server as instructed by the readme it created. When I open the movie locally it works fine. When I open it from a web page I get a Q with a question mark.
I suspect this is due to a problem with the underlying .m4v files. Direct links (as shown below) to those files produce a file not found error. The files are there and the security is correct. (If I pass the local network name instead of the web server name I see the file.) The .JPG file produced by the same method works normally. I try to read the file in my editor and get the same file not found error. If I rename it to foo.mov I can read it in my editor. There is no special handling for .m4v files in IIS on the server.

When I use the export command instead of the export for web command I get better results.
