This example uses the #include and #exec commands.

For more information about server side include commands see the discussion of Server Side Includes on the MSDN web site.

Although the MSDN web site discusses the need to enable SSIEnableCmdDirective it neglects to tell you where in the registry to set the variable. When this omission was brought to their notice Microsoft stated by email that the proper place is: 

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\W3SVC\Parameters
and that the value must be set to 1 (not TRUE as stated in the documentation).
